    Lightbulb Take a look.

    Agfa Vista 200

    XP2 Crop

    XP2 Crop

TMax 400 Crop (prefer real B&W film on real B&W paper so hope to be doing my own soon)

Quailty could be better on all of the B&W are print scans, and the girls are from an overly compresed Jpeg.

More to come when I get scaning

    Re: Take a look.

    These are some good photos!
But it's kind of hard to comment on one when there are so many too look at.
Perhaps you could you post one per thread.

    Re: Take a look.

Not if you want a critique of each, no.
Also because these are links they go beyond the usual 640x480 limit on the forum, it's a bit big !
I'm jusst about OK because I have a 1600x1200 screen, but others may be looking at it through a keyhole, effectively.

First photo, why did you chop their feet off?
I do it by accident but this looks by design.

Second photo would be good if the exposure was different.
Though it could be my monitor rather than your image.
I like the idea. particularly the foreground/background change at 1/3 frame.

Third, looks soft. I'm not sure it suits this subject.

Nice catch on the last one, but the curve of the escalator ruins it for me.
It's intrusive and leads me out of the framse, not into it.
Did you time it with the flash in the kiosk, or the modelling light?

Don't know I only took one photo of them and this was from either the second or third roll of film I ever shot since my perchase on an SLR. Recently I have noticed that I am getting it right more than I thought because my Prints seem to be getting croped when I have them developed, But not sure if its the same for this as I payed to get it scanned. I will look at the neg ASAP

Proabably the way you monitor is setup As I have seen this on another monitor and the black behind the bird looked grey.

"Third, looks soft. I'm not sure it suits this subject."

You think it should be more grainy?

It was a grab shot I saw my opertunity Pointed and shot a seond later she came out. I walked away think I had missed the shot. Timing with the flash LOL wish I could do that!

    Re: Take a look.

ajuk, you appear to have a very good eye and welcome to the forum.

However, I agree that you should post one image per thread and let each have it's own space and time. I think you will find that you will get more responses and better critique of your fine work.

Also, Paul has made a valid point in that a sligtly smaller posted image to help us see your work without all that scrolling would be beneficial for all involved. I find that no wider than 800 and no higher than 600 pixels works well.

    Cheers,
    Tuna

On the one with the two girls, I think it would have been better with only one of the girls... the one on the right seems to fit the feel better. I agree with the other on the photo booth shot, that curve takes your eyes away from where the image is going. Overall very nice shots

    Re: Take a look.

#1 is sweet and marvelous - so like a renoir with the umbrellas and Paris like street and rosy soft skin. The composition isn't ideal though, and the girls lack a little detail for me.

#2 is okay in an epxeriemental sort of way, butI'm not sure it standa laone as a photo.

#3 is better - the Cartier-Bresson "moment" type of pic.

#4 I kinda just move through looking for the next photo. It doesn't hold me.
