    Swampland

As autumn soon turns to winter up here the colors outside are really strong and beautiful.
This photo was taken in the middle of a swamp capturing two waterholes and a magnificent sky.
Added some more saturation to make the colors pop even more. Hope you like it!

collargoll, I do like this shot. I like the colors and the contrasts. I especially like how it transitions from the grasses in the foreground to the mountains in the background and the sky. Very well done.

Normally I am dead set against having an image split in 2 by the skyline but I think it works here.

That is quite a contrast between all the colors in the sky and on the ground, I'd say you did well to capture them.

    Good one.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Really really nice. The colours are indeed so attractive. The bit of sky captured in the pool in the foreground is great too.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

    Re: Swampland

Very appealing subject. I personally feel the contrast here is too strong with the saturation, and bringing back a bit more shadow detail would be great. I am not too good about the centered horizon. Bringing the first water hole down near the bottom frame as well as the horizon might have been more impactful.
These are just my immediate thoughts. Admittedly, the image is appealing as it is, but I think it is more in part to the incredible scene than to the actual capture.
btw, I don't think the very thick black border does the image justice.

Very nice sky and foreground. The high contrast works really well.

It is a very good shot. The contrast is very powerful. The colors work well together.

I think it is fine as is, but if you wanted to make it better I think that there would have to be more sharpness in the small water pond in the center, for it acts as the subject. There is also some softness in the illuminated grass areas, which seems to take away from the shot.
