    Super arch

A shot of Delicate Arch in Utah.

It's been photographed many times, so I was trying for some new angle - what do you think?

    Re: Super arch

    GB,

I like the silhouette of the rocks, the star burst, and the colour in the sky but the composition looks a little cramped at the bottom and/or top I can't decide where. What I'm trying to say is that to me it doesn't look balanced. Hope this makes sense to you but I'm having trouble conveying my meaning here.

I like this a lot...the sun is great, and as Roger said the silhouette as well. But I'm feeling like there's something different that should be done with the cropping...I think I would really like it more if you had more sky at the top, but a closer crop on the lefthand side...
The light and such are really beautiful though.

It's interesting seeing your viewpts on the compostion. The original (attached) is pretty much as you prefer, but I adjusted it for posting, figuring there was too much negative space (?) I guess the crop was just too tight here...

    Thanks for commenting!

Ah, now see...I like the amount of space at the top on the original...not so much at the bottom, I think you did well cropping as much as you did with your first post. I'd crop the bottom (maybe not QUITE as close) and leave the top!
