Lovely transition in colors. Personally--and I'm speaking only for myself-- I don't know if I'm crazy about the tree being where it is in the frame. I would have liked it further to either side, but like I said, that's just me. Great shot, regardless.

i also enjoy the colors, but will repeat that the tree would likely be better to the left or right of the frame. learn the rule of thirds and use it wisely.

Thanks for the comments...I'll be sure to keep that "thirds" thing in mind next time. I was unfortunately limited because this was the view from my hotel window..by the time I got outside, it was gone. Thanks again though!

    Mission Bay?

Although the composition is off, the colors are good and the isolation of the palm is eye catching.

Edit - Ooops, I guess SD is somewhere in FL, not California.

Oh. I know that beach, it sort of juts out north of the hotel. It's an OK place to vacation, but there are much more scenic areas of SD than that for photography- Torrey Pines, La Jolla, etc.

Really nice colors for this sunset. Though it was the only way it could have been shot from the windo. I have to agree that the palm really needed to be off the left or right.
