    Sunset pic

Went out last night after work to the East end of Oneida Lake, NY to Sylvan Beach. Was going there to take some pics of the big ice pile ups they were talking about. But when I got there I didn't see any. They were maybe 5ft high at the most.

So I grabbed some pics of the sunset.

If this are to large let me know. I can scale them down.

I also tried my first HDR photo made from 7 exposures.

    Re: Sunset pic

Now I know I posted to this yesterday but its not here now.

Anyway, I said the color is nice in the first but I'm not much on it but when I got to the second one, I said wow Love how the colors reflect off the ice and rocks.
    Very nice!

    Re: Sunset pic

I think both of them are over-exposed, and in the second pic (the HDR) there is some movement.

Something don't look right to me. May be the colors? Exposure? Too sharp? The composition? I think that, too.

As for the hdr image, it means to be unnatural anyway :-)

    Re: Sunset pic

    2 very nice images.

I like the exposure in the first and that the black foreground frames the sunset. Nice placement of the tree too.

That is great light in the second image but the clouds moved hurting the overall somewhat.

    Good stuff.
    No, I DON'T need that.
