    Sunset/low light

Here are three shots taken this week with my P80. What do you think of the composition, exposure?

Nice series, I'd level the horizon on these they are all crooked also you could lose some of the foreground in #2 & 3 and lose some of the sky in #1 for the horizon is not in the middle of the shot. Pity about the power line in #3. Overall well done. S

I think the first one is the strongest here. love the silhouette and the golden hues. one thing that strikes me though is the proximity of the horizon to the pier. Somehow i wish you either moved up and got the pier way lower than the horizon or moved downward and got the pier far above the horizon. I think their proximity sorta negates both and stops either from standing out as they are fighting for attention. The shapes of the silhouettes work for me though.

    1. This photo is the strongest of the three to my eye with the silhouette and the diagonal lines. I agree that a change of perspective would help. I would keep shooting this spot.

    2. I would lose some foreground putting the horizon on the lower third. The clouds don't quite seem sharp, but you have a nice golden glow on the water.

    3. This doesn't capture me as much as the first two; it lacks a focus point and the foreground doesn't hold my attention. You have nice rays coming through the clouds.

    Thanks for posting.

That first one could be a winning location if you just change your horizon level a little. It would be especially awesome if you got a lot of color in teh sunset.
