    Sunset Crane....

....I'm new to the board. Love taking photos but just a beginner and hope to learn from others on this site. I have a 35mm Nikon N65 but after playing with my wife Canon Point & Shoot Digital camera I'm dying for a Digital SLR.

Any thanks for any feed back.

    Re: Sunset Crane....

Overall I find this to be a very pleasing picture. The colors and the composition are very nice for the most part. It might help some to add a bit more contrast and possibly crop off some of the bottom. I think it would be nice if the line of the surf just trailed out into the corner of the frame. As it is there is a lot of dead space in the bottom of the picture.

I agree entirely with Greg's comments. Crop about a third of the bottom and you'll have a very pleasing picture.

I like this shot as well. The color is unusual and I really like the low perspective. But I agree: Cropping a bit off the bottom helps to bring it out more. Very nice.
