    Sunset in Brunei

    These photos were taken with a D90 with an 18-105mm lens. First photo was shot at ISO400, 24mm, f/11, 1/60. Second photo was shot at ISO400,24mm,f/11,1/80. Please do provide constructive critiques to help me improve on my photography skills! Thank you!

    Good to see you here Mos.
    I think too much of the image is taken up with the black foliage silhouette, this blankets what I take to be a very nice sunset scene. I suspect a couple of steps forward would have taken you through that gap and the sun set would have expanded out.

    I agree with hminx that the black is too much. Would love to see more of the sunset. I do like the inclusion of the swimmers/waders (or are they old dock pilings) in the 2nd pic.

    Those are waders in the 2nd photo, my aim of the 2nd photo was not so much the sunset but using the tree and fern as a frame for the people. Thanks for the critiques!
