    Sunset--another view

Here's a different view of the sunset previously posted. 300mm, 1/125@7.1
I waffled on whether or not to crop out the clump of trees on the left. Should they be cropped out?

I really like this. The colors are striking. I like the composition - and personally wouldn't crop out any of the trees - or anything else. It's a beautiful shot. That sky is just amazing.

I would not change a thing, John. Now I want to capture a sunset to with my sunrise. The colors are just popping on this image. Really beautiful shot.

    John,

Good shot, but instead of cropping off the left, I'd crop some of the bottom off personally. Great colors, much better than your other sunset shot.

    Well done,

    Jared

    Great shot, John.

I like the contrast between the highly detailed/textured branches verses the softer/warmer clouds. I tend to agree with Jared about the bottom. I would even go farther to say that if you cropped it slightly from the top as well to get a more panoramic aspect ratio, it might further enhance that contrast between the two subjects.

    Still, a great shot.

Spectacular colors. It might -- emphasize might -- need a little more variation in the trees to make it less of a background needing a subject. Sunsets are tough, 'cause you sometimes just get a wash of nice colors and its kinda "so what?" but your trees balance it out enought to make it a complete picture, I think.
