Please give my your thoughts on this sunflower picture, it was a pretty hot day so the left side got a bit washed out but all in all I think it turned out okay with the yellow flower and dark green background giving a nice contrast.

I like your shot (other than for the washed spot that have already identified). I wondered if a level adjustment would allows to recover details in this area and I couldn't really improve it but here is my take anyways.

Other than that, I like the way you bluried the background. Getting the flower at angle might make it a little more dramatic though.

I played with it a bit in photoshop also but was unable to elimitate the washed out spot either. I guess I need to start getting up earlier and take advantage of better lighting.
