    The Sundial

    If this seems a little on the dark side, it's because I shot on an overcast day, and I tried to brighten it without overdoing it. I'm posting this shot as is, because I like the way it looks.

    Personally I find the background to be a bit too busy. The hedges are a good touch to keep the feel of a garden/backyard setting, but the house and aqua bands of color in the background are not. Maybe if you shot it from the other side, or from a higher angle, these background objects would fall in a better location? Keep in mind these are all my opinions so please do not take them offensively, and thank you for the post!

    I appreciate your comments. The reason I chose this view was because I thought it afforded the best background of those available.. Also, it wasn't possible to get a higher angle.
