    Re: Sun Through Clouds

hi and welcome to the forum! I like this shot a lot, especially the way the sun is hidden behind the cloud and the edges of it are illuminated. the rays are also classic. I think it could be improved a bit if the pink colors were a tad more saturated. It also seems to be a bit tilted down to the right, but that's easily fixed in PS. nice first post though.

I like it, minus the tilt. It's a classical scene but I like the execution so it works for me.

    Re: Sun Through Clouds

Hey good photo. I beleive I'd like to see more sun peeping from behind the clouds. Usually when I take photos of sunsets, If there is a lot of movement in the sky, I wait for the sun and the clouds to do exactly what I want them to do and then try to get the horizion as straight as I can. To me, getting a straight horizion is the most important aspect of getting a got landscape photo. I learned this tip from my older brother about 10 years ago. It's a photo rule that I would never brake unless the landscape isn't my main focus of the image.

The concept and idea is good, but you still need more detail and perhaps more tones and colours to make it effective.

I think this is very good as it is. i like the soft colors, tones and even the slant in the foreground ( which helps keep this image from trying to look perfect). The dark slither of foerground offset by the bright outlines in the clouds create a pleasing visual. Good shot.
