    Suggestions ?

Took this shot of a lake under a heavy cloudy sky

It doesn't quite convince me ...

One thing very different form my usual landscapes is the time, this was taken around noon, and there are basically no shadows due to the cloudy sky

Took this with the EPL1 , got to love the automatic metering of that thing, it gets it right, period, no blown highlights.

But ... I pulled the shadows, just a bit, in the lower part of the image

Thinking of going back at another time when the light might be better, it is about 1 hr drive from home. And if the mud allows me also get closer to the water...

Thanks for looking and any comments you may have

Hmm. It doesn't really do much, but it seems like there ought to be some creative options...some monochrome tweaks perhaps. You're right though, that is one nice exposure.

I wonder if a conversion to black and white would bring out a stronger mood here and compensate somewhat for what may be missing otherwise in the composition thus possibly making it a bit more interesting.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

I think it's worth trying. Just an example here:

OK, may be too cloudy :blush2:

As can be seen, converted to black & white, enhanced details, toned, cropped and added vignetting. Cropped to put more attention to the sky.

armando, i wish the big rock wasn't there. that's my only suggestion. other than that, i reallyl love the clouds and the subtle colours you got going in this one. makes for a really nice mood.
