I like this photo. I would try to put a little more contrast into the factory but that might be my monitor.

    Cheers,

This is very powerful. However, the grass is too light and doesn't weight the image down properly at the bottom. I would crop some of the grass at the bottom and try to darken it--at least in the foreground.

I like the concept of this one. The building seems to be leaning just slightly. I agree with Don the grass in the foreground maybe a little on the bright side. But I do like the contrasting difference between the grass, building and sky. Everything could easily be adjusted in PS.

    Jim, Don, Greg,

Thanks for the comments. I tried adjusting contrast and curves, but couldn't do much with the foreground or the factory. The best I could do was crop it. Feel free to edit and post an example if you like. I also straightened it up a bit because it was leaning. Let me know if you think this is better.

I think it's sort of nice. It reminds me of another era... almost like a snapshot back to the dust bowl days (though the subject matter isnt the same).

I think this shot begs for some sort of selective colorization ro something. Not sure exactly what, but a stormy, multi-colored sky, while keeping hte foreground bright, might make it very, very interesting..........

Took a swag at colorizing the sky... very hard to do since there aren't many discriminating clouds or densities up there to select.

Tried making a painting of it. Uhhh, not sure it came out how I wanted, but it does show another side of the image,

Thanks, GB. Unfortunately, I shot this on a clear day, so nothing much was happening in the sky. I agree that a more dramatic sky would improve the shot. I'm not a big fan of selective colorization in general, but I do think it works for some compositions. I'm not sure about this one, though.

    Hi Greg.

Would you mind elaborating on what kind of potential you see?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Paul, this is an interesting scene. An industrial structure "growing"out from the trees. I think the the cropped version looks best and the added contrast was needed. The image looks a bit soft to me, but other than that I think you did fine here.

    Re: A Suburban Landscape

You might could play with it a little more in PS. Try layering it or adjust the sky with curves. Also how did you convert this to B&W? You could make part of the picture in color and the rest B&W. I played with it some. I tried to give it a more ominus look.
