Makes we want to visit Hong Kong. Has the same kind of bustly feel that New York City has. The guy at left really makes the picture work.

What's up with all those old treads that comes back on the board??

Yoyo, I really enjoy this street scene. Your angle is most interesting, it has your classical signature stamped to it. My only concern is that I would like a little more space at the top of the frame so the upper edge of the building corner doesn't touch the border.

I agree with Seb, classic Yoyo. Great shot, and the tones are wonderful.

Seb, Lava Lamp seems to have taken a trip on memory lane to bump up some oldies; I don't mind it, it's kinda neat.

    Re: Street Scene

Sorry Yoyo and everybody else but I do not think this has Yoyo's stamp on it at all. But I may well have guessed it was Yoyo's by the signage.
The starkness and tension of Yoyo's street photography is totally absent here. I consider this one to be lacking in any specefic interest. One of the people (extreme left) has noticed the camera and this for me does not help things.
But as a record of a typical day perhaps on a typical HK street with people going about their business, it copes fine. Sorry to be negative on this one Yoyo.

    Re: Street Scene

I'd be interested to see the original colour of this one. it doesn't really work in b+w for me, i kind of have to agree with Tom here, there is something not working in this one for me, not sure what. i find it hard to settle on any thing, my eye keeps wandering, it won't settle. it's also a little unnerving, almost like an optical illusion. the road on the right looks odd. the rise seems unatural! (not sure anyone will understand what the hell i'm talking about here!)

sorry to be negative no.2 on this thread yoyo, however i would really like to see the colour version if you have it.

    cheers
    anew.

    Hi All,
I am a bit surprised that the shot has comments after 20 months. Thank LL for bringing back my memory. LL, You are always welcome to come here. I will be happy to be your guide. Seb and Jared, Thanks for the enjoying the shot. Tom and anew, I treasure your views (genuine feeling). Tom, your observation is very sharp.
