    Storytime

A cool moment as the baby was intrigued by the sounds coming out of this man's magical instrument. In this case, is it more important to have your subject (the man and child) straight or the horizon, pole, building, etc?

The horizon, pole, building, etc. Oh, not the tree

    Re: Storytime

I would think that the pole would be the determining factor as far as it being straight or not. We know a person can bend and lean over, but we look for a pole to be plum. Anyways, nice shot but the background is a bit distracting, esp the blue Still, you don't always have all the time in the world to capture good scenes like this. Better to get the shot than miss it with technical perfection.,

i think the face of the singer looks too dark. Some dodging of the face (then increasing contrast) would enhance this. A foil reflector on his face would have been ideal. Even an on camera flash could have brightened the face.

That is a cute pix and the fact that the image is tilted doesn't harm anything but I see no good reason not to straighten.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Can you straighten this shot in PS and re-post? I also think it would look better with the wall/pole straight. Verrry cute "moment-in-time" photograph (and well-captured).

Hey, no need to apologize. PS is an acronym for Photoshop, a photo-editing program. It lets you rotate the photo to make your image square/level. There's a less expensive version called Photoshop Elements. I think it also lets you adjust the vert/horiz axis as well (someone else will have to confirm that seeing as I've never used the Elements version.) On a Mac, you can straighten the image using iPhoto. On a Windows PC, I'm sure there's some photo editing software that came with your computer that will let you re-work your photos. I'll let a Windows user jump in here...

Thanks freedom. I figured there's a wonderful thing called Google so I figured out how to straighten. I used PS which my wife is a pro at but I'm still learning.
