I really like the first one.
Crops a bit tight on the top though.

Nice collection, all with bold colors. Viewpoints...looks like you shot all simply standing in front of the subjects, raising your camera, then pressing the shutter. All 3 of these could benefit by you being creative with different shooting angles and viewpoints. :-)

Thanks,Charles,-very true, often have similar comments,in critique,-the ones from more creative angles did not come out so well, find it hard to see the shot, will try taking more time over them.

susaan, since it's a local establishment, you have plenty of opportunities to go back and explore!

    Re: Stoned on sunday

Susaan - Worthy subjects... the statues at least. I also think the bricks and stones have potential, yet unrealized. I agree with Charles about viewpoints. But what I think really needs improvement in your shots here is composition. You should give them more room so that they do not feel so cramped (so to speak). The second one, you also clipped off one side of one of the statues, only to show pretty much nothing important on the other side. So, just general compositional issues here. The lighting is also somewhat dull and probably 1/2 an f-stop or more underexposed. The first one I would consider getting lower and shooting up to show a unique angle. Keep shootin'

All good suggestions given here. I do feel the first one is good. I like the tight crop, although loosening it up just a smidgeon would help. Great thread title

I like the texture in the first photo, as well as the green moss on the statues. It contrasts nicely.

    Good shots.
