So I hit this with a diffuser over a full cto to the left and an unmodified flash to the right 3/4 behind the shot. It was a 30 second exposure, and I lifted the sheet up in front to create a veiled effect. Failed, so I used a shot without that. I think I need to use cheesecloth and hit it with a powerful light off axis to get the effect I want...
