    Stars Fell on Alabama

I lost some detail in the sky on the resize. I am not sure why I can't resize and make it look better. This was a 40 sec exposure and I think that's the little dipper. I wish you could see the full size image. It's really much better than this. Any suggestions on how to resize it?????
The title comes from what's on an Alabama car tag.

wow that picture is in rough shape especially at 8 kb's, you must of done alot of photo touching on this to lose so much, everything looks so artificial.

I haven't doen much PS work to it. I leveled the horizon and cloned a light on the hills but that's it. I lose a lot of detail in Lightroom when I convert it from a RAW file to a Jpeg. The RAW image really looks good. I am not sure what I am doing wrong? Any ideas? I also tried to convert it to a TIFF but it still loses detail?????

Are you sure? This looks like high compression as opposed to high quality output

Aaron, I tried to work on it and I replaced it with a different version, it seems a little better but still it's not as good as the original. I think that's the little dipper?

Greg, i like the picture. As stated already, there is too much compression here. Choose high quality, not high compression. also, when resizing as a jpeg for the web, choose 72dpi output. If your exporting for the web at 240dpi, then you have to compress a whole lot to get the file size acceptable for uploading. Output as jpeg at 72 dpi with high quality, or low compression
please do not edit and repost my photos

Thanks Gary. I have been saving at 72 DPI. I will check the others settings.
