Fascinating picture, subject matter is just brilliant, and this works very well as B&W. Dont you just love the way the local trades men stick to the industry codes of practice. It looks as if that guy is paid to sit there and make sure it doesn't catch fire.

    Re: Stair Well

What do I think? I think I like it.

There might be a little too much "dead" space at the bottom right and I'd like to see the person's face a little better. He is a bid obscured. The photo is really busy in some respects, but the stairs and placement of the man provide a composition that helps us move through the photo. Really nice.

Thanks for sharing. I have a photo listed on the Critique board, as well, should you like to comment.

Nice pic there...only nit pick is that the guy seated is to close to the wall and a tighter crop in the bottom will look better...near the last step if you ask me.
    Nice shot.

Thanks for the feedback guys. in the future, u can go ahead and crop and show me if you want. Like it says in my signature, i don't mind if grab it and rework it. I tried cropping and I don't see it working that way for some reason, maybe i'm cropping the wrong place.

That's a very nice location and subject matter... and my nitpicks are quite similar...

So here's a suggestion of what you can do... I dodged the face a tiny bit, and adjusted the levels on the white side... and I adjusted the column on the left... just made it straight....

I did also crop, although I like your framing.
