    Staind

Been sitting on it for about a month. It's part of a study of St. Joseph's Cathedral. I like it, but perhaps it is too cliche, or just another "snapshot". What's your thoughts?

Payn, I love the colors in this quite a bit. I personally don't see it as cliched, but I do think that I would like it more if it were straight on...it doesn't feel like I'm looking at it at that way, but that might just be me.

I don't find this cliche at all, quite original IMO. I don't mind the angle, having the two smaller panted panes in the bottom is a great addition too. Wonderful colors and good job on making sure the wall stayed dark. Well done!

It is a good capture Payn and I think that the angle actually adds to the shot. I like the fact that the black really is black and the colours stand out nicely, well done.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. It is straight from the camera, which kinda wowed me (using the kit lens). I think I like it most for it's rich color and detail more than as a stand alone image.

A lovely shot and I like the perspective you captured which makes it different as it gives you the feeling of looking up.

I also like the 2 triangles in the bottom which add to the perspective

The colours agaisnt the black are awsome, however perhaps a touch more saturation could make it pop even more.

    Nicely spotted.

I like the angle too. The stained glass windows in those larger Churches have that imposing, almost hanging above you, feeling. I think the angle captures it. Besides, the upward view is very appropriate for a church setting.

Forget the comment about saturation, my calibrated monitor at home shows the colours beautifully - work laptop needs calibration.
