    Spotlight - Holga

The lights underfoot were changing colours and I made my girlfriend pose, don't ask me why but I seem to photograph feet and hands a lot, I thought that the end result looked pretty strange, any thoughts would be welcomed.

    Many thanks

Very nice Holga shot. It reminds me of my old Brownie Hawkeye.

You know Herriot, this doesn't work all that muc for me, mostly because I have done similiar photographs and have never been happy with the results. I am not saying yours is a bad photograph, it's just that looking at this one, I see the ones I have done.
Silly I know, so maybe this is better than I think!
I like the lines on the floor and the tension created from them and the odd angle.

    Herriot,

Is this really a Holga is my first impression looks like a normal SLR/Compact with a bad lens vignetting.

Sorry it doesn't do it for me.

Hi Roger, yes, it is a Holga shot, I have to say that I have been contemplating whether or not to post this image for quite a while now, I think it is a bit unsettling overall and I just wanted to put it up for review to capture some feedback which is happening and is certainly of value but I am with you that the end result probably doesn't work overall.

    Thanks for commenting

I like it too. The angle of the shot makes it work. You might think about cropping out the flash reflection from the floor, but that might take away that Holga look from it.

I like the shot, except for her skirt being illuminated. It almost makes it look as if you used a flash. I would try darkening in the skirt so the effect of the lighting is not so evident. This does not work for me much as a stand alone shot, but I think in a series of images where the feet are subjects, this could work.
