    A Splash of Spring Color

    I'm playing around with some of the settings on my digital camera. The yellow comes from a daffodil that is just coming up.

    I like it and you seem to have a good eye for the little things.
    If you can bring the color up a bit more and still leave the effect, it would be more dramatic.

    I like what you see. It works as far as technique, but I think the photo falls a little short because some things are out of focus when they should be sharp, the horizontal leaves interfere with the feeling of stanch and power by the verticals, and the yellow is probably not in the ideal area of the image (too far down and left). Like I said, the technique is fine, but also have to concentrate on the basic photographic aspects like composition, depth of field, and so on. Hope this helps,

    I think the curved shaped of the dead leaves hurts the overall vertical strengths of the whole.

    I almost like the mix of B&W and color. Almost........
    No, I DON'T need that.
