    Speaking of Patient Creatures

Here's my poor dog being one of my less vocally complaining subjects while I try to get the hang of a new peanut slave and umbrella combo I just picked up. Ssh. I told him if he posed for me he would definitely be getting a walk. Anyway I am trying to upgrade some of my equipment and thought this would be a good light weight kit to truck with me on jobs. How am I doing? Suggestions?

He is really beautiful! Very pretty tiger brindle. Is he a lab mix? As fas as the picture goes, I think that you captured him beautifully and you really showed off that handsome coat!

    Thanks CCC!
Cooper is a Plott Hound or a better description might be Americanized German boar hound. His breed are generally used for big game hunting like bears, lions, etc. Although not this Mama's boy! Every 4th of July he heads for the tub and doesn't come out till the fun's all over! My kids wanted to name him Shere Kahn when we first brought him home because of those stripes, but we rescued him and the name Cooper was already well attached.
I'm really pleased with the effect I am getting from the umbrella flash as well as my brand new reflector so he will probably be the subject of still more lighting experiments. He has the patience of a saint for this kind of work as long as I keep the dog cookies handy. I can see how Will Wegman got started now.

You know, I really didn't think he was a lab mix but a picture of him standing and I probably would have got it right! LOL

    Regardless, he has phenominal coloring!
