very nice focus and subtle panning. but i don't like the composition. it doesn't show where he's going or coming from, and i don't like the wheels being cropped off.
and it seems dark, was this inside? or just overcast?
i've been playing around at a moto X track. check out my thread in the sports section and let me know what you think.

I would like to see all of the bike. But you have dead on focus and good DOF. The lighting looks fine to me, great job panning, something I need to work on. I bet the driver would love a copy. Well Done...

I echo Z - excellant technically, but the composition may be less than ideal. But if that's how you shot it and it is what it is, I'd still say success. However, I might try to bring out the shadow areas a bit in PS.

Crop was done because if you look at what gets shot and put in the magazines this is the type of shot that sells... normally unless they are trying to show racing between more then one bike they crop fairly tight and sometimes within the bikes space...

I may play around with the exposure and lift it ever so slightly to see if it brings in some more of the details...

    Thanks everyone!

The rest of the shots I posted up are here:

I shoot quite a bit of MX but with this being a national I didnt get my ducks in a row and get a press pass in time... maybe next season... all shots were taken from the spectator area...
