    Blue Heron

I took this yesterday not too far from an alligator sunning himself, Jeff

    A nice composition.
Lots of evidence here though of unsuccessful cloning or erasing or some other PS thingy. I also feel that what is potentially a very nice image is not being done any favours by a very distracting border. In my opinion a good image never needs these big borders and they only serve to take the eye away from the actual photograph.

Other than cropping this picture and resizing it, nothing else was done to this picture other than adding the frame, Jeff

    Hi Jeff
I am more than happy to take back what I said but the left side looks as though something went on and some branches were removed. I apologise for getting it wrong.

No big deal. I can see what your talking about but I really didn't do anything there. That is why we have a critique forum is to get different opinions, observations and ideas. If I was going to get bothered about a comment I should have been posted it in another forum. Everything is fine and keep the comments coming. As far as using frames I like them so you'll just have to overlook that part :blush2: Jeff

Not sure how I missd this one, but I like it Jeff. Interesting coloration on the herons up there. In S FL they are almost entirely the color of the head/shoulders of yours, even the very small juveniles. Nice shot.
