The top one is well composed but seems to be oversharpened to me or it could be the way you resize or compress the files for the web.
The bottom shot, I would have prefered to see more of the bottom included and less sky. Only by a fraction.
Excellent colours in the sky in both pictures.

I agree with Roger on the second. I can't quite decide on the first. I really like the image but something I can't put my finger on keeps nagging at me. I'm thinking that I need to see a little more impact in the golds.
