    Re: First Snow

Good image. Snow already? I doubt here we'll get any until February, but we are in good old Blighty.

My only suggestion would be a tighter crop on the right of the image, because i find the non-snowy background at odds with the rest of the image.

    Cheers,
    Chris

XVampire...wow! what a close up! You can see every little crystal and omg they do look like those paper snow flakes we made in gradeschool! I would like to have seen the background completely out of focus or what would look great is if there was also snow on the ground. Could you arrange that? heh It's a beautiful color and shot.

I cannot reshoot, the snow is gone and flower is dead! Thanks for the comments, I agree that a crop would help.

    Hello XVampire,

I love snow (skier here!) and I definately like your picture. The snow is very well captured and I like the contrast betwen the lively flower and the snow flakes.

I have to agree with others that I tighter crop would works best here. Actually, there is no need to reshot at all assuming that the original file is of a good resolution. I would simply crop all arround the current frame to get a different composition.

    regards

Thanks for all the great comments, they are very encouraging! I have taken snapshots all my life and just got a digital with more features than a 34mm point and shoot film cam and I am trying to use them correctly!
