    Some old pics I had

This is my first post here.

I've been a fan of photography for about a year or two now, started doing band photography at hardcore/punk/indie shows and then went into taking pictures of things that caught my eye and such. I took these exactly a year ago when I was in Indiana, I haven't done much photography since then but I'm about to buy a new camera and start again while I'm here in Georgia for the summer, and hope to take some nice shots in Aruba.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think, what can be done to make the pictures better, etc. Again, I know close to nothing about photogaphy so I would really like to learn. Thanks.

Sorry if I posted too many.

Small world. I am in Byron, Ga. Right down the road from you. Shoot alot in WR, and Macon. Anyway, The only one that captures my interest in any way would be #6. Try cropping the bottom a little bit, all the poles and stuff.

Re: Some old pics I had

Nice, I haven't gone around WR yet looking for places or anything, but I should do that next weekend or something when I get my new camera. I don't have a clue where Byron is, because I got here about two weeks ago and I've been working like crazy. When I go back to Macon during the week for work (Blair Moving & Storage) I will take my camera in case I see some interesting stuff.

About the pictures, thanks for the tip, that one was taken in Lincoln, Nebraska. I should add that I haven't photoshopped any of those pictures, I'll follow your advise and work on that one to see what I can get done. Thanks.

Macon is good in the industrial area. Just don't shoot too much there, leave something for me! WR is not too great unless you're into aircraft. Byron borders centerville on the west, Cafe erotica is in Byron (lol). If you are into landscapes/farm scenes, try Montezuma. The population there is mostly Mennonite (?) sorta amish. So it is kinda interesting. Last week, you missed an outside battle of the bands (mostly punk). E-mail me sometime if you want, and I'll let ya know of anything interesting I hear of.

I like the bball hoop, would have loved it more if was was shot in such a manner that the cloud appeared as though it was about to dunk itself!

I like the cloudscape but find myself wishing i could see more detail in the lower part of the picture.

Yeah, the clouds wel it was just too dark and I took that picture from too far away to be able to get any detail down there. I'll hopefully be getting better shots soon. Thanks.

Payn, if you hear about any punk, hardcore, indie or any type of shows going on on the area please send me a message or something. I'd love to see what the music scene around here is like.

Todd, I'm gonna go check where I have all my band pictures stored and I'll post some here if you want me too.

Nothing here really jumps out and grabs my attention except the railroad one with the reflective X sign. I like the tilt, and how you got some nice background colors in there.

    Keep on shootin',

The first image stands out for me, allbeit somewhat unsettling. Not sure if the cloud adds anything and cropping the right hand side of the image would help, well done!
