    Picture #2

I really loved this picture but it's not very clear due to the location. It was shot freehand on a bridge that wouldn't stop bouncing. Maybe if I go back with a tripod real early in the morning when there's no traffic I could get a better shot

Re: Some of my first pictures... be gentle

StreetDoc - Hey, you say both to be gentle and to let you have it! Which do ya want? I'll try the middle.

I think I like # 1 the best. The building seems to show its majestic size here quite well, and there seems to be the right amt of water to place it. The only suggestion I would make would be to capture it in warmer and/or more dramatic lighting.

    # 2 is OK but like you alluded to, not real sharp. Not sure that's the only issue though ... the geometrics of the skyline aren't as interesting here for some reason. The water spout adds to the shot, but it seems an afterthought. Oh well.

    # 3 has potential, but I think I would have liked to see the top of the left building. It also seems a bit tight/busy. Like # 1, it could probably stand more exciting lighting. Try sunrise or sunset, up to about 1 hr before sunset or one hr after sunrise. That should be warmer.

    Hope this is somewhat helpful.

I think one and maybe three would have benefitted from a polarizer filter.

    Hello
I am also veeery new to this forum, however have to agree with the comments in regard to #1 and # 3 both need a bit of increased pizzaz..better lighting on the Flag would be super, and diminish the other bldg's in the same time

the # 2 is really a great photo
