    Some flash blur experiments

I've been messing around with some flash blur shots, trying to get something different. No photoshop involved. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks!

The technique seems a bit much. It's hard to really tell what is going on.
I'd suggest you tone it down some with the panning.
I can see where you are wanting to go with this, but it's just too much.

Thanks Brian, I think I agree with you, I just wanted to catch someone else's point of view on the shots.

As another photog who loves taking MTB shots, I like the idea with #1 & #3, but the only thing I would have done differently would be to get the riders sharper. Other than that, hopefully we'll see more MTB shots from ya!

It's actually quite easy. All you need is a zoom lens and a flash. Just set up your flash so you can shoot at a slow shutter speed (like 1/6 to 1/2 sec). Zoom all the way in to set up your shot, and when the subject enters your frame, zoom out while you take the picture. That's how I did it.
