    Re: Solomon's Chapel

It's very much a "Tuna" photograph, which is a good thing, but it doesn't do much for me.
If this were part of a photo essay on this church or something it work well, but as a single photograph I am left wondering more.

I checked them out over there and they are very nice - I see that you are taking advantage of the mirrorless aspect to delve into some night shots. I also see that you are pushing the film (with pretty good results...) but the same can be achieved by dropping your shutter to as low as 1/8 - very possible with a RF. 1/30 is pretty easy - just squeeze the shutter at the end of an exhale. 1/15, 1/8 and slower can also be a consistently successful exposure with some practice.

    Tuna,
I like the contrasting difference between the church the sky and the trees. It's hard to critique any thing you do compostion wise since you are so good at it. I agree with Brian this has that Tuna style. I also agree with the speed of the RF. I just bought a QL-17 and am amazed at it's performance in low light situations.

    Re: Solomon's Chapel

I'm possiby going to be the odd one out here but this does not have a Tuna stamp on it. Anyone passing this little chapel would feel invited to lift the camera and take a record.
A typical Tuna photograph in my opinion, and for what it's worth, includes tension, atmosphere, mystery, asks questions and pulls the viewer back for repeated viewings but above all it will have originality written all over it.
This shot, I feel, includes little of the above. But I also like that Tuna produces some shots like this that proves a catholic taste.
But it is well recorded with great b/w tones and presents us with a very peacful setting. I think it is tilting slightly (but that may be in the stance of the building).
I do like this for what it is though.

    Re: Solomon's Chapel

I think overall this is a well executed shot and it does appeal to me in it's stark, cold feel. I do think as others said that there is more offerings in most of your other works that this does not have. Perhaps a human element or an animal wanderind about, but as it is, it still is a fine image.
