    Solitude

Take with my Sony cyber-shot the wife used down in Fl last week. 6mp Great shot for most of her stuff tends to be real blurry.

I thought it looked good for a point and shoot.

Hi SkipT, This is a very peaceful scene.I would consider cropping to the rule of thirds.I'm not too big on feet so, If you were standing in the water... again an improvement. Just my thoughts.I'm no expert.I'm here to learn

Yes this is a good scene and exposure but the framing doesn't work with you in the center. This isn't a problem though since you've got plenty of cropping space, crop 8x10 aspect ratio all the way to the right, crop a tiny bit off the top and bottom, and you've got a well structured framing. You want to be looking into the space of the frame, so a left framing wouldn't work.

The lighting was very good here which is why the image has appeal. I'm ok with the framing, i just think there needs to be something more to this, or the subjects face should be seen somewhat. As it is, there is no real feeling of a story or mood to this, just a visually appealing image due to the lighting. Yep, pretty good for a point and shoot, but point and shoots are pretty good . . .

    Re: Solitude

It is a very well lit and clean shot. The colors seem somewhat unconventional but very soothing. I like the pose. Somehow though, the composition seems to bother me a bit. If you will notice, beginners always put the subject dead center in the frame .. that's why photographers never have great shots of themselves. Oh well.

    Re: Solitude

The color is very nice. My crop advice would be to crop it to a vertical leaving the subject in left side of frame.

About half off the bottom up to the dark line and off the top to balance.

    Nice shot!

Actually, with the sand, the sea, and the sky, the rule of thirds is nicely accomplished here. You can play with the different types of crops, but the way it stands now, I don't mind. Your wife did a good job.
