The Solemn Lake-Processed

I guess it's been a while since I posted last in the photo critique forum. The shot that follows is from Skeneateles, NY as taken from my D200 and Sigma 15-30mm (at f/8 if I remember correctly). The shot out of camera came out terrible (I accidentally put saturation to enhanced and forgot to switch to RAW for the day) but I think I managed to salvage it by tweaking it a bit in photoshop. Here it is:

Quite a powerful photo IMO. It somehow has an old, 1960s film look to it, maybe due to the heavy manipulation. I really like how that woman is standing there near the tree, but if only she was a tad bigger and there was a kid playing in the grass too. NY state sure is nice in the summertime.

The processing seems to have given it a weird look about it, but it goes with the subject and scene. It works.
I like the scene very much. The people sitting on their benches next to the large body of water. the woman standing appears to be taking a photo of the scene as well.
My only suggestion is to crop from the right side to eliminate the fence and a bit from the top. This will also help pull the people in a bit more and make the more relevant.
