    Snowboarding

    This is me from about 2 weeks ago in mount snow vermont. We got a nice little covering of about 4 inches that morning.

    Interesting shot. The main thing I know about shooting winter sports is trying to do it not on a snowy day:P The only place where this is evident is right on the jacket area. If the flakes were a bit more distinguishable, I think this would work, but it appears almost like a white dust and is more of a nuisance for me. You kept the whole board in but I think this picture would benefit even more by keeping the whole hand in too. Well done and nice action capture.

    Who took the picture? Just checking. Because we're only supposed to post our own photos here. To cover the critique bit, do you know about exposure compensation? Snow should have some white and the snow in this image is all gray and the image has a marked cyan color cast. Snow will throw off your camera's light meter. You have to plan for that and either using manual exposure or exposure compensation to trick the meter into a correct exposure. Try overexposing by plus one stop and maybe add a tiny bit of red to balance the color out.

    I agree with the slight blue cast of color (kalvin temp) on the snow but not bad at all. the image is a bit dark but a very cool shot. Even better if it is a self timed shot.
