Snow Queen - before and after

Now I may have posted these before, I don't remember but I was looking through some old files of mine. And by old, I mean November 2005 when I first got my Canon.

    I didn't have a clue how to use my camera properly. I didn't have my 430EX and I didn't have my 50mm 1.8 lens.

All I had was my kit lens and my PS knowledge was minimal.

I re-worked these images, yesterday and today, and thought I would put them in here to get some unbiased opinions on them.

So here they are my before and after images.

    Window light only
    Canon EOS 350D
    18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 kit lens
    Manual Mode
    ISO 1600 (ouch!)
    F/3.5
    SS 1/20

As always, your thoughts are much appreciated. TIA

Great shots, everything that needed to be improved on them, seemed to be improved

I think that your first rework is terrific. It's a professional grade portrait as far as I am concerned.

I am more ambivalent about the second one. Your colors adjustment and the new crop looks good to me but I don't care for the texture.

    The first one is gorgeous.

The second could've been as gorgeous with the sizing, and the great tilt had it not been for the "canvas" (or whatever) filter you've applied. That ruined it for me. Love your fixes though.
