    I commented on this in the Gallery but just let me say again that I think it is an excellent macro image. It is well composed using the negative space to great advantage and the exposure on the highly reflective icy snow is done very well. The color tones and water droplets in the gate enhance the over all effectiveness of you photo. Nice work.
    Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    thumbs up! I have to wonder what a little dodging around the middle/top third of the snow would do just to ease the highlights.

    ditto what Frog said. Very creative! You don't expect to see so much black in a pic entitled "snow."

    Looks like a caterpillar to me. Nice abstract qualities, sorta making you think.

    I would like more clues on the weather though, perhaps a dark blue background (blue is a cold color) instead of the black, which could be a studio prop.
