    Snapshot- "Attitude"

I was taking sanpshots of the kids in the backyard to send to family and I caught this expression.

Beautiful. The colours, the pretty in-focus background and floor are very strong but never competes with the main subject. The little feet/toes and active fingers are lovely and he/she seems to be in a little world of his own.
The nicest child photo I have seen in a very long time.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

Thank you for the kinds words! Other than the normal levels/curves adjustments, and straightening (when I take a crooked picture, I take a really crooked picture), I experimented with this technique- http://www.apogeephoto.com/sept2003/mfulks192003.shtml , I think with good results.

She still refuses to talk, so I think the very animated expressions she's been using lately are her alternate non-verbal ways to communicate.

Thanks to both of you! The trampoline generates a ton of static, making her thin hair stand up, so all it takes is a little breeze to make it blow like that.

Excellant shot for a snapshot. Composition is outstanding and the blue background is interesting. The lighting is a little harsh - perhaps a fill flash would have helped in this situation? But good shot.
