    A snapshot

Walked by a fishermen pier, took a quick shot, and would like to share it with you...

Guess it's kind of hard to see them, but there're more than one seagulls in this photo...ten, twenty may be. Somehow they all gathered around and over those boats.

If you crop a lot of that sky the gulls won't get quite so lost.

    Not bad for a snapshot.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: A snapshot

Great snapshot. I know alot of photogs hate to do this kind of thing, but personally I would move the gull up into the upper portion of the sky as I like the amount of sky to boats ratio and would not like to crop it. Right now, the gull is very close to the boats and in center of the frame. It would look better balanced and reduce or eliminate the want for the crop of the sky if the gull were in the upper portion of it. Easy to do. . .
    great snap!!

    Re: A snapshot

I wish the gull was better positioned. Unfortunately, I don't speak seagull and it didn't hang around there long enough for me to take another one. I agree the photo definitely would look better if the gull were somewhere higher and perhaps closer to me.

Gary, I have cleaned up and removed stuff from a photo, but, honestly, I never thought about moving things around within a photo. Thanks for the idea.

MB1 and Jesika, thanks for the comments.

I agree that moving the gull would help. I like the extra sky and feel if you move the bird it would work. Nice AE......Love the colors
