    Snack Time

A father and daughter feeding geese. I've been a little hesitant about taking 'people' pictures, but this scene was ripe for a couple of shots. I keep thinking there's too much green, but the sun was out, and the trees were full. Comments, advice, suggestions?

it looks like you're too nervous about the hole "people" element to move around and get the shot you really want.
here i just don't see enough interaction. i see a dad and his daughter, then i see ducks in the water. i think if you could have gotten closer, and maybe on the girl's side of the bench, you'd have something here.

Thanks Z, you're correct----I was aprehensive about the whole thing. Not wanting to risk invading their space, I took the shot from a distance. I thought about approaching the father and asking him about taking their pictures, but I'm not quite up to that yet. My comfort level will get better in the future, though. Next time I'll offer to send them copies.

don't do that, just ask them whether they're ok with it. I mean you really don't have to because it's a public place, but don't offer them prints (which will cost you money) for them doing nothing other than sitting in a public place.

I would have personally gone wider and caught the surrounding area/trees.

You have the right idea but try to catch the action like actually feeding the geese. Maybe moving to the little girls side you would have a better angel of the action.
