    Smoking Permitted

It may not look like it but I took this with a Holga. This was taken at Sheperds Hospital. The art teacher and I went for a walk and she let me use her Holga.

I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..

    Re: Smoking Permitted

This one has potential Greg, but it needs something. The lighting is an issue, as both her and most of the remainder of the image are too dark and even in density. The sunny area creates a lot of contrast that the camera (film?) simply couldn't handle. I can deal with most of that but the light poking through the trees in the back sort of dooms it for me.

Ahh.., and what can you do with a scene like this? Not sure. Sensors and film simply can't handle that amt of light variance. I've heard that the eyes can discern 11 f stops but film and sensors only about 2.5. Gotta even it out somehow ..

    Love the composition, Greg.
I think if you play with levels a bit, it can be made to pop though I don't know what can be done with a Holga shot.

    Re: Smoking Permitted

The comp is very good, considering this is a holga shot...I notice on the histogram the exposure as posted is near perfect.I'd like to take a crack at this {post editing) with your permission Greg.

    With regards,
    Rick
