    Paul,

    I think I would have prefered more movement in the car, both look a little static to me. Out of the two Its the close up that does it for me.

    That close up in awesome Paul. The motion in the tires and the fact that you can make out the smoke streamers on his rear wheels through the smoke show is simply a testament to your experience with exposure. The position within the frame is perfect in both but I definitely like the first one the best.

    Roger.. theres no motion in the car because it's a burn out. The car isn't moving.. it IS static lol.

    I'm finding it hard to get movement in the car when he's standing on the front brakes and spinning up the back wheels ... put the brake bias all the way to the front and then use the brake to light up the tyres and move forward slower than walking pace.

    Here's another, same shutter speed, different lap.
    He was showing off for the grandstand opposite the pits, I was on pit wall in the right spot for once.

    I thought he was doing donuts or ending the donut because of the slight angle in the car compared to front wheels.

    I like #2, I like to see just a bit of the surroundings. The composition is super.
