    Smoke and lotus

    These photos were taken at night at Lotus research Laboratory in China.The back lighting was by LED video light

    the smoke looks good on the first one, but the flowers looks better on the last one.

    I think the flowers aren't working because they look 'are' backlit. It's a weird look for this type of photo. It is very creative though, as I've never seen this type of image.

    I think the bottom of the last one is pushing the highlights just past that point. But other than that well done. I love your work Richard.

    I actually like #2 ...the whole thing is sort of unnatural but the 2nd one works in that regard ...I would name it Lab Flower or something like that ...

    All very nice

    I would try to pull the shadows of the flower so it is more visible

    smoke give it a really nice mood

    Thanks to all members for your useful comments.It was anunlucky night ,I had planned to take different lotus but the rain started pouring after one flower .I don't had enough time to adjust the backlit,I will try again.
