Wonderful shot, Tuna. The great lighting and the brilliant color work in a way that contrasts nicely the ominous feel that we sense approaching the scene. The dark area in the foreground with the various scattering of light adds to the mood and charm of the scene. Nice work
Nice shot and great colors. A couple little things I'd change, back up just a little so the left side of the roof isn't cut off and if possible try and get some more of the blue window in the shot.
Very unusual in the fact that it looks almost like a "toy" chapel and I wonder what sort of character would present itself if the red doors opened. The lighting adds a somewhat surreal feel. I enjoy the way the angle of the foreground roof forms the diameter of the blue circular window, cutting it exactly in half. I too would prefer to see the full roof on the left.
The state of the sky provides a perfect background.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
I am completely amazed that with the excellent colour, sharpness, dramatic sky etc., that something as minor as framing is off! What happened? Was there something interfering on the left side of the church?
Pretty striking shot Tuna. I like the architecture and am glad you found it to photograph and share. The red door against the blue sky is eye catching.
I'm a little confused on the clipping off of the left side of the roof. Not sure if I like it like that or not - maybe it would have been to predictable within the frame? Given it is that way, I might even crop some more off the left. - GB

Thank you for your comments and critique. It is always nice to hear what an image provokes from others. This one is an image that both reminds me of the light at the time of capture as well as raising a new thought each time I view it for any length of time.
btw, I know the cutting off of the roof on the left is somewhat controversial, and I had taken that into consideration when i first viewed the image. I personally have no problem with it at all. Besides, adding the roof would change the entire composition by the placement of the Church and I think the comp is exactly as I would like it now. Actually, the cutting of the roof looks deliberate, and i think thats part of what leaves me comfortable with it.
Great colors, the lighting is perfect. The whole scene looks almost surreal, and it keeps my eye moving around, from the loud doors to the blue window to the subtle color in the bricks to the mottled light in the FG...and on and on. Very well done.
Alas, though, I too am frustrated by the left side of the roof being cut off.

This is such a wonderful photograph. So different for you and this quite appealing. The colors, the sharpness, the contrast of colors against the sky, I even really like the tree branches above the roof on the left, but I just can't get over the clipped eave. I am trying to stretch my eye and thinking to allow for the artistic interpretation....grow the experience. But, I can't; the shot needs the left side. Otherwise, a really great shot.
Yeah, If he woulda moved over, He would have gotten more of the church, Cut off some of the house on the right, BUT, he woulda lost some of the Blue Window. So I think its pretty good, Because that blue window is awesome.

Hmmm what can I add? The color rendition, the sky and the lighting are literally spectacular. The glow on the tree at the extreme left is quite something. That tree could almost be in fire. But, I do not feel that composition. I am assuming that the background is busy and lead you to this framing yet I wish that there was more breathing space all arround.
But boy that these colors are wonderful! It almost hurts my eyes!!
