    Sleepyhead Sisters

This was from this morning. Both girls were sitting on the couch in the sunlight. They looked so bleary and tousled...hehe.

Interesting - powerful light here. Difficult to photograph in. You did a good job under the circumstances.

I really like the youngster on the left, it seems that she's very dramatically lighted. But as my eyes move right I see that her sis (?) is really getting washed out by it all. The background is really bright too. Doesnt seem to hurt the girl on the left, only the right.

You'll have to buy her some candy for washing her out

While the lighting may not be technically accurate, I find that I like this shot in a few ways. For one, it reminds me of my younger brother and I when we used to watch Sat. morning cartoons. It also takes me back to that feeling of basking in the sun as a child. I like how the older one's hair is kinda messy. I can imagine them sitting there watching spongebob, slowly waking while mom is getting breakfast ready.

Did you try burning in the hot spots a little?

Thanks GB & payn...I appreciate your thoughts on this. The lighting WAS quite bright...and I see what you mean about the little one being washed out a little bit. I took several while they were sitting there, but this was the only one with Sophia leaning on Jules...and I wish it were a little softer.
Payn, it's so neat that this reminded you of times with you and your brother. I was just thinking the other day that it's so hard sometimes to get photos of my own kids to mean something more than just another kid photo to other people (other than my mom...lol), if that makes any sense.
And I hadn't tried burning the hot spots in this yet...

    Thanks again,
    Emily
