    Sleeping Giants

our current floodway was erected to contian the flood of the century, and now they are building onto it saying it will last for the next 500 years,as construction goes each night along the floodway they park their massaive machines in a row,i took this shot at night under guards supervision of course, only after thought i should of put my car beside one of them the tires alone stand taller than my car.this picture was cropped.

It might look better enlarged but on my screen everything looks too green and not bright enough.

Since you only have 3 elements here (the black sky with no detail, the foreground with no detail and the trucks) I wish you had moved in to fill the frame on the left with a truck then have them shrink away to the horizon on the right.

As it is this image has too much foreground that adds nothing to the image.
    No, I DON'T need that.

To me I like the foreground I think it's a little blurry though. If it were more crisp I think it would add to the picture. I also agree it would look better in full size.

The image actually makes the trucks look more like small toys than giants. It needs a reference point for scale.

I agree with the other posters about the foreground and perspective issues. I do want to add though, that I really enjoy the color transition from the bright greenish yellow of the closest trucks to the orange in the farthest. It adds an almost abstract feel to the photo.

    Re: Sleeping Giants

thanks for your comments its true after i got home i wished i had added something into the shot to give it true perspective,my son was standing off to the side and if in the shot would not even come close to the height of one tire, these trucks are parked at night under guard, and the land is being raised and changed everyday,. perhaps i still have time to reshoot the picture.
