Hey Yoyo,
My immediate reaction was very different for both images. upon looking at the first image, i felt that it just was not working for me. Partly because of looking at the back of this interesting "SkyWalker" with it's legs cut off, and no real story or interest going on in the bg. However, upon looking at the second image my immediate feeling was that it worked for me. It feels right as far as balance of the composition and framing, but what i like most about it is the fact that the people in the mall seemed to be intrigued by the storefront they are walking by, while the "SkyWalker" seems to be completely captivated by the holiday balls and attempting to attain them somehow. As the shoppers may be thinking the same as they peer at the merchandise in the store. The green circular sign is framing the entire play.
