    Skaters

I ran into a whole group of skaters and thought I practice some panning with my A80. I also shot a few on NPH, but it's not developed yet. Comments? TIA.

    hello barmy101

did you mean to motion blur the people too? i like the effect but id like it better if the skaters were in focus and the bacground was blurred.

    Hi Barmy

I think I agree with kitst3r. Although, I am a complete beginner here, so please take what I have to say accordingly. Very neat pictures, but, I think I would have liked them more with the skaters in focus also. It would make them stand out a little more instead of the very slight blending in with the blury background.

i'm a beginner also, but i personally like the slight blurring of the skaters. it gives the pics a lot of energy and motion. i think if the skaters were in perfect focus, it would look like they were in a dopy pose or something, this way it really looks like they're moving, nice job

    Hello Barmy,

Actually, I'd say that the skaters should not be that blurried (but they should definately not be tack sharp either). I think that having them slightly sharper would make the pictures stronger. That being said I really love the way you framed them. It gives a great action feel to the pictures.

    regards

    Seb
