Things would have looked better had you moved to one side in order to centre the strings. The grain in the guitar back is very nice. A bit more depth of field to get the strings in focus. I have never found guitars easy to photograph and we have four in the house asking for it.

    Eoky,

Great shot though just a little tight on the crop for me. I wouldn't mind seeing the full circle of the guitar instead of it being cut off by the edge of the frame. Other than that, the tones are great and a wonderful DOF.

    Well done.

Yeah that is actually the first thing I realized after posting (of course). May retake that one. Thanks again everyone, much appreciated!

    Hi eoky,

I also think this is an interesting photo, but was thinking the same as Jared, that it would work better for me with the whole circle, rather than the tight crop here. It's a fun idea, all the same though.

I agree with Emily and Jared on the crop, and Brendan on the DOF. I would also like to see the body of the guitar less blown out, but I don't know how you would do that and still get the nice exposure on the label and wood grain in back. Maybe a reflector for your lighting? (Not my area of expertise... )

    Actually, you're probably right.
