I can't say that this one captivate me as much as the first one does but I certainly enjoy how you composed this. The diagonals and the angle works for me.
I presume these are stairs in a large building but they give me the impression of conveyor belts for carrying things into the flames of hell in an industrial environment.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan
For me there are two images in this photo vying with each other. I would be tempted to crop in the middle and focus on either the dark stairs (great angles) or the roof for a more minimilistic stand point.
I think the bottom, without the patterned roof/skylight is simplicity.
The roof isn't, and I thnk if you crop to just under the top joint in the concrete wall it's what you said in the title.
The first one didn't grab me, but this one is more compelling. It has a sense of place and the angles, simple though they are, remind me of an Escher woodcut.
I like the other one a lot better Yoyo. This one has over blown bits and the ratio I'm not very fund of. The composition and "simplicity" isn't as apparent and striking as the first IMO.

Hi Seb, Thanks for sharing your perspective. I wish I could take more photos in the place, however, only 3 floors are allowed for photo-taking. The other parts of the place are really beautiful.
Hi Tom, Thanks for the perspective that I have not thought of. Hadid's style is full of sharp edges and floating lines.
Hi nodster, I see your point about minimalism.
Yes, PAul. You suggestion is very valid.
Hi LL, I am glad that you like te shot. Thanks for introducing Escher to me.
Hi Leels, You comments make sense. Thanks for letting me know what you feel.
